LCD Watch Glossary

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): A type of display technology used in digital watches, LCDs use a liquid crystal material to create an image. The liquid crystal material is sandwiched between two transparent electrodes and a polarizing filter. When an electric current is applied, the liquid crystal material changes its orientation and allows light to pass through, creating an image.
